I like languages, I like word origins, and over the years I’ve spent a little too much time researching etymologies and reading linguistics papers. This was just a private pursuit until the pandemic hit.

Some time during the second lock down, in Ireland where I live,  I started making short videos on TikTok about these subjects, and then Instagram. For some reason, the channel grew, but I am thankful for it.

I figured I would compile these videos on this website, transcribing them into text, and adding additional information where I can.
